Not everything can be "badass." Not everything should be "badass." Sometimes it just needs to be a neat little artifact resting in some leather. I am so very grateful that other people feel the same way.Steven Belledinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02798269170915291454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245662519209286682.post-89754700458028075202018-04-04T14:36:21.221-04:002018-04-04T14:36:21.221-04:00Thanks. What I knew for certain was that if they put the amber in a pair of hands, it deepens comparison to Volkan's works. It strengthens the argument of "why didn't they just have Volkan to this?" To me, it was way better to just cut ties with that visual cue altogether. There will always be folks upset that Volkan didn't do the amber, but now they can't claim that the image was 90% there. Personally, I have no qualms about comparing myself with Volkan. His work is his, mine is mine, etc. It's more about choices being CHOICES. Essentially, if they didn't want it to tie in to Volkan's work, it really needed not to tie in to Volkan's work.Steven Belledinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02798269170915291454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245662519209286682.post-1259506581736948702018-04-04T14:20:46.715-04:002018-04-04T14:20:46.715-04:00I really like your take on this, as well as your a...I really like your take on this, as well as your approach and philosophy. To me, this piece feels legendary or mythical but in sort of an unexpected way. I can’t wait to own one in foil.

Magic is a game that I love, for its creativity, for its competition, and recently its diverse portrayal of characters and inclusivity. But a game can’t hold my attention at all without flavor, and what you’ve created here is certainly why I keep coming back to magic. So thank you. Seriously.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13315494094247211812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245662519209286682.post-47863299899166194302018-04-04T13:30:20.054-04:002018-04-04T13:30:20.054-04:00I am sure there was a lot of trepidation with Volk...I am sure there was a lot of trepidation with Volkan Baga having done so many moxen and in a fairly narrow design space, but its great to see another take on them. Love seeing the progression and appreciate you walking us through your thought process.
