Some I waited to pain until the areas under them were painted so I could show a degree of transparency. It really depended on their placement on the piece.

sbSteven Belledinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02798269170915291454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245662519209286682.post-37289306470014809032011-02-24T19:14:34.439-05:002011-02-24T19:14:34.439-05:00I remember this one from Illuxcon in November. I ...I remember this one from Illuxcon in November. I love this piece! It really does just look great. I think his pose in the final works much better and implies a sort of tension that the other roughs don't quite capture. Being a beginner, I have to ask, are the holograms using thinned down greens to make them translucent or did you sort of paint with opaque colors and create the illusion with value changes? . . .Does that question make any sense?Tom P.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245662519209286682.post-14229529036531042132011-02-24T15:41:29.054-05:002011-02-24T15:41:29.054-05:00@Randy - Will do. @...@Randy - Will do. If it comes to that, anyway.

@Daniel - Thanks! Sometimes the encouragement is just as much for me as it is for other people.

@Ryan - I wish I knew where you live. Then I'd come over and give you a stern talking to. By the way, you missed a great time at Rick Berry's studio. I think it's pretty close to where you live.

@Daniel (again) - Thanks. I'm not sure why people say what they do. Nor do I completely get where they're coming from. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
